The dogs
chosen to participate in the prison program are
unwanted, abandoned or surrendered dogs that would
otherwise live out their lives in multiple foster homes
or be euthanized. These animals desperately need our
help. The dogs
in the New Leash on Life program learn to trust their inmate trainers and
receive the basic obedience training necessary to make them a welcome
companion in a loving home.
All of the dogs
available for adoption are spayed or neutered, on heartworm preventative, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
They
come with a free collar and leash; 30 days of free
pet insurance; and a care package. The adoption fee
is $85, and there is a 2-week trial period to make
certain you've found the right match. If you would
like to meet any of these dogs or learn more, please fill out
the application at
www.triadspca.org/application.html and an
SPCA rep will contact you as soon as possible. |
